Little Birch Cottage: a peaceful escape in North Norfolk.
Switch off, slow down… and relax. Our fully refurbished cottage is the perfect base for a tranquil few days in the North Norfolk countryside. We sleep four, in two bedrooms, with space for your canine companions too.
Lounge
A warm, comfortable lounge that’s bright by day and cosy by night.
Our lounge features a wood burning stove for the ultimate in country living cosiness. Comfy seating for four. TV with Freeview channels and Netflix/Prime Video/BBC IPlayer etc - using your own log in for your security & peace of mind. Enjoy the books & puzzles available for guests whilst slowing down here…
Kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need.
Our kitchen features an induction hob and Bosch Fan oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. We provide plenty of crockery, cups, glasses and cutlery plus all the kitchen utensils, pots and pans you need to prepare a delicious meal with local produce. There’s a Nespresso coffee machine, use of Ninja air fryer (request at time of booking) Norfolk tea, cooking oils, herbs & spices & fresh farm eggs from our own chickens.
Breakfast room
The perfect space for a meal to start or end your day.
Our dining area features a table with four farmhouse chairs, a serving hatch through into the kitchen and large windows into the garden. A dog feeding and watering station is provided along with hooks to hang coats and a place for muddy boots.
Double Bedroom
Snuggle up in our cosy double bed.
Warm, soft reading lamps will aid your wind down to sleep and there’s space to hang some clothes and tuck a few things away in drawers, The room has a hairdryer and a traditional radiator. Note: this is a very traditional farm-workers cottage, and they weren’t as tall in those days! So mind your head – this room has the lowest door frame & beam!
Twin Room
Space for two (and a half).
Two comfy adult single beds with a choice of pillows and space for the little one (we can provide a travel cot with mattress on request).
There’s nice soft lightning for a relaxing chapter or two before dropping off. Clothes storage and a traditional fireplace with feature light complete this cosy room.
Bathroom (upstairs).
A stylish, traditional bathroom with the mod cons.
Our bathroom has a power shower over the bath tub with a shower screen. There’s a heated towel rail radiator, complimentary soaps and toilet paper, and bath toys for the youngest family members. Other infant equipment such as changing mat, child toilet seat & step are also available on request.
Outdoors…
There’s plenty of space to enjoy being outside, and plenty more outdoors in easy reach.
The cottage has its own private driveway, access and enclosed rear garden. We have driveway parking for 2 cars, covered by CCTV.
Out the back, there’s a private BBQ area for summertime alfresco dining, and you can enjoy the summer sun into the late evening here.
If you have young ones, they can visit our chickens and collect their own breakfast eggs!
The large breakfast room windows look out onto the garden, morning sun & late afternoon rays make this a very relaxed space, helping to slow down whatever the time of year your stay at Little Birch Cottage is booked for.

When you’ve settled in and unpacked, head on out and enjoy our lovely surroundings.
We’re in the heart of the North Norfolk landscape so you can reach lovely places like Wells-Next-The-Sea, Holkham Hall and beach, Old Hunstanton and many other glorious sandy beaches in 20-30 minutes.
Fakenham race course is less than a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Fabulous farm shops abound, many with equally good cafés, Holt is just 20 minutes up the road. Or, if you want a break from the brake pedal, the fresh air of the Norfolk countryside is two minutes walk away, with plenty of local walks for you and the dogs to enjoy.
